Chosen Female icon and why: Thinking about my favorite female icon is kind of hard. There are so many amazing women in this world, like, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou. I could go on and on, but out of all the amazing women I believe my icon is the best.
She was born and raised in a small town in Kentucky. She grew up in a single mother household with two older siblings. Her up bringing was different from some but that didn’t stop her from being GREAT. She is married and has three beautiful children, four if you count her dog. She is very smart and talented. She loves a craft and can transform anything you give her. I remember she used to scrapbook all the time. I loved watching her and seeing the results. I like to think I picked up on some of her talents.
My icon has taught me many more things as well. She taught me how to be strong when I want to breakdown. How to help others when I might need some help myself. How to see the light in this, sometimes, dark world. How no matter how many curveballs life might throw at me I will always have her and GOD by my side. I’m still learning from her today. My goal in life is to be able to teach my children what she has taught me all these years. My mother is and will always be my favorite icon!
