Christmas Store

It’s difficult to imagine a young child at Christmas with no presents to open and no food in the house to eat.  Without the Youth Encouragement Services Christmas Store, that is how many of Nashville’s inner city children will spend their Christmas. YES is beginning its preparations for the annual Christmas Store, which will take place on Saturday, December 9th at the Lindsley Avenue Center.  This store provides Christmas to over 700 underprivileged children!

Hundreds of low-income families will have the opportunity to shop for their children.  Each mother will select a complete outfit and new toys for each child in their family.  As funds are available, they will also receive a $20 Wal-Mart gift card! And each family goes home with a large box of groceries for a complete holiday meal.  This is an enormous task, so we rely on help from hundreds of volunteers each year to make it a reality.

We need your help in a variety of ways:

This year, our YES Christmas Store will be held on Saturday, December 9th. Please return all gifts prior to Friday, December 1st.

As you consider your benevolent giving this Christmas, please keep Youth Encouragement Services at the top of your list. You can help us make this holiday season brighter for Nashville’s underprivileged children.  Thank you in advance for your help!
