GED program offered at Lindsley Center

March 092010

Youth Encouragement Services and Wayne Reed Christian Childcare Center have teamed up with David Lipscomb University to offer GED Test prep classes for parents from the Wayne Reed Center and Youth Encouragement Services.

The GED class is designed for our parents to raise their abilities to understand, analyze and judge the written information. Our parents will attend the GED class so that they can get the right kind of guidance and help that is needed for passing all five GED Tests (i.e. Language Arts, Writing Part 1 and 2, Reading, Social Science, Mathematics and Language Arts and Reading). GED class is the combination of group as well as individual work with much emphasis on lessons and practice tests to build confidence and make them able to sit for the test with full preparation. Currently we have 7 mothers signed up to attend classes beginning March 8th twice a week. Once they get their GED diploma, they will be able to pursue higher education, if they choose to do so.
