55th Anniversary Dinner & Silent Auction a Success!

October 032011

The 55th Anniversary Dinner and Silent Auction was a big success! The Annual Dinner is a night to recognize our students, and honor our volunteers. Students from the St. Luke’s Center performed some of their favorite songs, and we heard from several special guests. Mrs. Hazel Watts shared memories of running the Lindsley Center with her husband, Frank, starting in 1969. Additionally, each Center Director took time to honor a Child of the Year and Volunteer of the Year from his center. The Child of the Year is a student who leads, has a positive attitude, and excels academically. Because academic achievement is an important part of our mission, we also honor our students who are recipients of a Y.E.S scholarship. A volunteer from each center is recognized for selflessly serving our children, and being a positive role model. We are so thankful to each supporter and volunteer who made this night possible, and we congratulate our students on all their hard work!
