YES is always proud to acknowledge the academic success of our students. Each year we recognize students who are graduating from high school and have made the greatest decision of their life - to further their education by attending college. Anatole France said ‘Nine tenths of education is encouragement”. At YES, our students have been partnered with mentors, volunteers, staff and leaders who have encouraged their dreams. Our returning College Scholarship Recipients for 2009 were - Valerie Rivas (Tennessee Tech), Michelle Turner (Nashville State) and Jordan Wilson (Tennessee State). Our new 2009 College Scholarship Recipients are - James Eubanks (Tennessee State), Cheyenne Flair (Univ. of TN), Brandon Hughes (Tennessee State), Vincent Johnson (Middle Tennessee) and Robert Sutton (FISK).
